Pramoedya Ananta Toer is one of the main greatest novelist who once owned by Indonesia. His works read continuously until now. He talked about many things, from the revolution, poverty, until about the history of Indonesian nationality. He was even nominated several times been named as the winner of the Nobel Prize in literature.
Perhaps best known novels are Buru Quartet, namely Bumi Manusia (Earth of Mankind), Anak Semua Bangsa (Child of All Nations), Rumah Kaca (Greenhouse), and Jejak Langkah (Milestones). The students of the faculty of Literature and Cultural Studies must be familiar with these names.
However, in my opinion, is a novel Reverse Flow Pram very steady, and clear, and will critically Indonesian maritime history. This novel is an epic history of the fall of Majapahit maritime glory. Narrated with smooth and beautiful, this novel will give us about an idea how should Indonesia treat sea region, and how formerly Indonesia. Interesting to read with the popularity of maritime issues to be carried by the president Jokowi now.
