2014's Habibie Awards

This year, Habibie Award is given to four people in a variety of fields. First, Ferry Iskandar from ITB for his work in the field of basic science. Second, given to Ahmad Agus Setiawan from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) for his work in the field of teknik.Ketiga, Salim Said former Indonesian ambassador to the Czech Republic. Lastly, N. The Science and Technology Human Resources Foundation (Yanbinbang HR-Technology) honored three lecturers and an actor with the 2014 Habibie Award on Thursday.

"This award is for people WHO are very active in Reviews their professional field and the make meaningful contributions to discovering and developing science and technology," said foundation head Wardiman Djojonegoro in a speech in Jakarta on Thursday, as reported by Antara news agency.

A physics doctorate at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Ferry Iskandar, was presented an award for his work in the basic sciences.

The second awardee was an engineering lecturer at Gadjah Mada University, Ahmad Agus Setiawan, WHO won the award for his work in engineering sciences.

The third awardee was Salim Said, a former Indonesian ambassador to the Czech Republic WHO lectures at the Indonesian Defense University. He won the award for his work in the field of political and social sciences.

The fourth awardee is a prominent theater actor as well as director, author and founder of Teater Koma, Nano Riantiarno. He won the award for his work in the cultural field.

The Habibie Award is an annual event to commemorate the anniversary of the Habibie Center on Nov. 10.

Since 1999, the foundation has presented awards to 47 inspiring people. (ask / nfo) (++++)
